Don Bosco School Blessed and Inaugurated in Mailani
The little Railway Junction town of Mailani and the small Catholic Community in Suabhoj, lying at a distance of about 9 kilometers from Mailani, were blessed with the gift of a School, Don Bosco School, when Bishop Gerald John Mathias of the Diocese blessed and inaugurated the same on April 1, 2017. The Deanery and Guest Priests, Sisters, friends of the Church and the town people gathered for the brief ceremony of the blessing. The new Parish of Suabhoj-Mailani was started a year ago with Fr. Augustine Falleiro as the Pioneering Missionary Parish Priest, who has now also become the first Principal of the new School. Aptly named DON BOSCO SCHOOL after its more illustrious and popular sister-school in Lakhimpur-Kheri District Headquarters, also a DON BOSCO SCHOOL, the new School in Mailani has already started initially, with 2 classes, Nursery and K.G., which will be increased yearly by one class each, eventually becoming a Senior Secondary School, running 10+2 stream. Snacks and lunch were served to all the invited guests, who came from near and far.
