Don Bosco School, Mailani: New School Block Blessed and Inaugurated
The School ministry in the Diocese of Lucknow was expanded in the new Mission of Suabhoj-Mailani when the Bishop of Lucknow, Most Rev. Gerald J. Mathias, blessed and inaugurated the new Academic Block of Don Bosco School here. Mailani is a Railway Junction Town in Lakhimpur-Kheri District in the famous Dudhwa National Park area at the foot of the Himalayas. The School, named after Don Bosco, was started only a few years ago and has been making steady progress. Besides prominent townspeople and parents, the blessing ceremony was witnessed by the Diocesan Vicar General Fr. Ronald DíSouza, Director of Education Fr. Vincent Pinto and several other Priests of the diocese, who are heading educational institutions in the nearby towns and cities and who had come to attend the function. The little ones of the School gave a wonderful dance performance to welcome the guests. The Bishop warmly congratulated all those involved in erecting the new academic block and asked the parents to cooperate with the school administration in making Don Bosco School a beacon of education and learning in the town of Mailani and around. The current Principal of the School and Parish Priest of the Suabhoj Parish is Fr. John Ronny DíSouza, under whose able leadership the School intends to reach greater heights in the months and years to come. Refreshments were served to all after the Blessing Ceremonies.
